Our story<\/h2>\n \n

SLA started in 2013 with a simple craving: nutritious food. We were looking for a place where you could eat genuinely good, pure food. A place where vegetables took center stage. But back then? Nowhere to be found. So, we decided to do it ourselves.<\/p>\n

We opened the very first organic salad bar in the Netherlands. A place where vegetables were treated as something truly delicious, and healthy eating became almost addictive. By now, we know better than anyone what healthy food does for you: it simply makes you feel better and more energetic. Taking good care of your body is essential for your balance, and that starts on your plate.<\/p>\n

Moreover, from day one, we kept our eyes fixed on the planet. What began as a single rebellious idea in Amsterdam has now grown into 14 locations across the country. Today, you can find us in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Haarlem, and Groningen. And even though we have grown significantly, we still do exactly the same thing as when we started. Our mission<\/h2>\n \n

For us, it’s simple: good for you = good for the world. That\u2019s why we work with organic ingredients, cook practically zero-waste, and choose fair partnerships. When you eat at SLA, you’re automatically part of it.
\nOur dream goes a lot further than today’s menu: we want to contribute to the most conscious generation ever. Conscious of what you put into your body, but also of the impact that has on the world around you. No strict rules or pointing fingers. We simply want to show, feel, and above all, let the next generation taste how delicious that lifestyle can be.<\/p>\n

SLA loves little foodies (Kids eat for free!)<\/strong>
\nTo give that conscious generation a flying start, kids up to 8 years old eat for free with us. If you order a meal as a parent, they get a free Kids Bowl along with it.
\nWith our Kids Bowls, children discover that vegetables aren’t boring, but actually very recognizable and tasty. That’s because they get to build their bowl entirely by themselves. This way, they decide their own favorite colors, vitamins, and energy on their plate. Which is much more fun. And that is how we inspire the little foodies of today to become the conscious decision-makers of tomorrow. Bite by bite.<\/p>\n
